动作原理分析：空气阻尼式时间继电器（通电延时型）

当线圈1通电后，衔铁3吸合，微动开关16受压其触点动作无延时，活塞杆6在塔形弹簧8的作用下，带动活塞12及橡皮膜10向上移动，但由于橡皮膜下方气室的空气稀薄，形成负压，因此活塞杆6只能缓慢地向上移动，其移动的速度视进气孔的大小而定，可通过调节螺杆13进行调整。经过的延时后，活塞杆才能移动到上端。这时通过杠杆7压动微动开关15，使其常闭触头断开，常开触头闭合，起到通电延时作用。

当线圈1断电时，电磁吸力消失，衔铁3在反力弹簧4的作用下释放，并通过活塞杆6将活塞12推向下端，这时橡皮膜10下方气室内的空气通过橡皮膜10、弱弹簧9和活塞12肩部所形成的单向阀，迅速地从橡皮膜上方的气室缝隙中排掉，微动开关15、16能迅速复位，无延时。
